Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in BIRMINGHAM, Alabama. The successful candidate will be tasked with significant responsibilities in customer service, accounts receivable, and internal and external communication. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and the ability to work remotely.Responsibilities: Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external clients. Take inbound calls from customers, addressing their inquiries about payments and processing payments over the phone. Handle billing and payment inquiries via email, using Microsoft Outlook. Keep up-to-date and accurate customer credit records. Use basic Microsoft Excel skills to manage and reconcile accounts. Adapt to a remote working environment and ensure smooth operations. Support the accounts receivable process and ensure all transactions are processed accurately. Maintain professional email correspondence with clients and colleagues. Resolve any customer inquiries related to bank and cash reconciliations promptly and professionally.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel Ability to manage Email Correspondence effectively Excellent Customer Service skills Knowledge and experience in Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with Cash Reconciliations Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Solid organizational and multitasking abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
