Join the Rocky Research team working on Laser Support Equipment (LSE) for directed energy weapons “Star Wars” technology. You will leverage your CAD experience and skills in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems. You will use your creativity to design new and modify existing products, parts, or processes while applying established standards, guidelines and specifications. By collaborating with others on the engineering teams, you will engage in the design, review and optimization process to ensure the quality of the engineering drawings and models, working together to deliver against overall project timelines.Key Responsibilities

Extensive knowledge of CAD software (CATIA V5, CREO 2.0, Solid Works, NX, etc.)and hardware practices
Design experience in the field or in a related area
Design experience on: High voltage systems, power generation systems, electronic components, cooling systems, HVAC refrigerant systems.
Deep understanding of a variety of the field's standards and specifications
Capability to work independently to follow guidelines and ensure production of high quality design documents
Application of engineering techniques to optimize product and part designs
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity or ambiguity
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Capability to clearly and concisely communicate with partners.
Good computer skills with programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimized design outcomes
