Airstream/RV Custom Building and Repair

Small Birmingham company is looking for someone to help build and service custom Airstream and other RV/travel trailers. Our company remodels vintage Airstream trailers and most of the interior is very custom and high-end fit and finish. We are seeking someone with experience in quality work and attention to detail. This is NOT a high-volume production shop but instead a builder of unique small spaces. There is often curved walls, odd sizes, and thinking outside the box layouts. We are looking for someone with a good eye for quality and diverse skill set looking for a unique opportunity. Successful candidates will have the following:

MUSTS:

-Reliability

-Strong work ethic

-Work independently or with others and self-motivated

-Good attitude

WANTS:

-Skilled in custom carpentry (woodworking, cabinetry, painting, hardware, counters, flooring, etc.)

-Plumbing experience (pex and ABS most common)

-Electrical experience (high and low voltage, batteries, solar, inverters)

-Fabrication of sheet metal/riveting/welding

-Experience in restoration (homes, cars, boats, machines). We make old things new again!

IDEAL

-Experience with trailers/RVs

-Experience with custom work

-Problem solving

Position is full time 8-5:00. Shop environment with necessary tools provided. Same location every day. We work in small spaces and physical work is required.
