Alto is looking for a automation/controls engineer.
Automation engineer is responsible for selecting, designing or modifying manufacturing professional who designs and implement manufacturing equipment used improve productivity, reliability, quality and safety. Typically the engineer is responsible for project from initial concept through startup. Projects are complete when they are meeting design criteria and safety requirements.
Automation Engineer Primary Duties:
Understanding of AC(up to 600VAC) and DC(up to 48VDC) electricity
Expertise in programming and implementing PLCs and HMIs for automation systems
Proficiency in PLC programming software (e.g., RS Logix 500, ControlLogix, Omron Sysmac)
Strong knowledge of HMI programming software (e.g., FactoryTalk View, Ignition Edge, C-More)
VFD Experience(ABB and Allen Bradley)
SCADA Experience(Ignition)
Hands-on experience in hardware and software design for automation systems
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software systems efficiently
Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD electrical drawings
Understanding of basic Ethernet network topology
Qualifications / Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years working experience in similar position required
Solid understanding of computer programming PLC & other
HMI Proficiency
Ability to design on CAD (Inventor preferred)
Knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical diagrams
Solid project management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
Creative thinking skills
Detail-oriented personality
Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team
