Bookkeeper/Payroll - Bessemer

Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization in Bessemer, AL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys numbers, accuracy, and helping a business run smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do:

Process weekly payroll using Paycom, ADP, or similar payroll systems

Reconcile bank statements, vendor payments, and employee expense reports

Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close activities

Track PTO, benefits, and deductions for all employees

Communicate with leadership and staff to ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of bookkeeping or payroll processing experience

Experience with Paycom, ADP, QuickBooks, or Paylocity (Paycom preferred, training available)

Strong Excel and data-entry accuracy

Organized, dependable, and able to meet recurring deadlines

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred

Schedule & Pay:

Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

On-site in Bessemer, AL

Pay: $48,000 - $58,000, based on experience
