Collins Aerospace is looking for a Buyer who will be able to provide delivery assurance in a fast-paced high matrixed environment. You will be supporting the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility. You will ensure that the day-to-day supply chain management activities such as placing purchase orders and managing suppliers ensuring they execute on quality and on-time delivery at cost to meet our financial goal. You will interact with multiple programs, departments and both domestic and international suppliers. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and managing the supplier relationship.What YOU will do

Coordinate the procurement cycle from purchase request to payment of invoice

Identify, evaluate and setup new suppliers

Evaluate supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers

Align supplier schedules with facility needs

Obtain schedule and delivery confirmations from suppliers

Status purchase orders

Coordinate material needs, expedites, updates and change orders with suppliers

Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance

Participate in negotiations of long-term agreements with suppliers

Conduct Supply Market Analysis

Ensure parts documentation is clear, accurate, and organized

Support strategic projects in support of facility/company goals

Create and present metrics and supporting reports to suppliers, peers, and managers

Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances require

Performs other duties as required

Education & Experience

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Knowledge of supplier management

Knowledge of purchasing process

MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
