Cloud Architect (USAF Cloud One) – Various Level & Locations

DescriptionLeidos is pursuing the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract, and currently has several openings for Cloud Architects across AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience help modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.UNFUNDED CONTINGENT UPON AWARD; EXPECTED SPRING 2025/TBDLocation:These positions will be hybrid remote. Candidates may be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL), Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA), Andrews AFB (D.C. Metro Area) or Joint Base Charleston, SC. If any of these locations interest you, please consider applying.Primary Responsibilities Could Include:

Manage and optimize AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Oracle environments, networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, and SQL systems.

Implement and maintain Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole to support DevSecOps practices.

Containerize applications to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency.

Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.

Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring their performance and reliability.

Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.

Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior staff, fostering a learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors and five (5) years or more of experience; Masters and three (3) years or more of experience. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment

US citizenship required

Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1

Experience with Zero Trust Architecture

Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle clouds
