We are looking to add a highly motivated Field Superintendent to our company for an immediate opening for a self-storage project in Montgomery, AL.

Summary: The Field Superintendent will be responsible for managing the design build construction process from inception to completion on the jobsite in Montgomery, AL. The Superintendent is ultimately responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects, on budget, on time, while maintaining quality in the field and managing subcontractors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives and subcontractors.

Communicate: give clear direction and leadership to subcontractors, vendors, etc.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions: scheduling, engineering & material control

Provide technical assistance: interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.,

Direct and coordinate subcontractors and Shamrock Building Systems field personnel in designated areas of expertise

Consistently communicate with subcontractors and employees with the Shamrock’s expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.

Understand project specifications, the subcontractor’s contract, and the subcontractor’s scope of work and see that they are fully performed in the field.

Follow, implement and enforce safety policies, (i.e. job safety meetings, proper use of safety equipment, and compliance by subs/suppliers, etc.)

Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, OSHA, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify proper management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.

Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.

Complete, maintain, and submit all required reports, logs, punch lists, etc. associated with project

Education & Experience:

B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent field experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Demonstrate proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

Ability to manage and schedule subcontractors

Extensive experience reading and analyzing site plans (Civil, MEP & Architectural)

COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

The current project is based in Montgomery, AL, After this job is completed, travel may be required.
