General Cleaner

General Cleaner 2nd Shift

General Cleaners are responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. Cleaners will work full-time on the second shift (2pm thru 10:30pm) that will include weekends.

General cleaners must be able to pass a Federal criminal background check.

2-3 years experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred.

The major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that typically make up the general cleaner job description are:

- Maintaining a high level of precaution while cleaning

- Maintaining an efficient cleaning routine

- Ability to use general cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies

- Cleaning and replenishing paper towels, soaps, and toilet paper rolls in restrooms

- Wash walls when needed

- Sweeping and wet mopping in designated areas

- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to

- Immediately notifying supervisor of any needed repairs to equipment or supply shortages

- Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy

Must pass a federal background check. No exceptions

Bi-Lingual (Spanish) positions available

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

2nd Shift (2pm thru 10:30pm)

Must be available to work weekends
