Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of recent corrections experience, a strong focus on patient care, and feel confident in evaluations and working with a multi-disciplinary team. This role offers rotating weekends and 36 guaranteed hours weekly over a14-weekduration. Extension options may be available at the end of the contract. MORE ABOUT THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - LPN - CORRECTIONS POSITION:
Provide a basic level of general nursing care to forensic clients, patients, and inmates with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities
Provide care under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician
The ability to easily integrate into new settings
Knowledge of various computer systems
A desire to expand nursing skill set or varied experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THELICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:
1 year of corrections experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Active LPN license in Alabama
