Linux AdministratorFull-TimeHybrid out of Tuscaloosa, ALMindseeker is looking for System Administrators to work on the team that provides integrated water prediction, forecasting the movement and presence of water throughout the nation in terms of quantity and availability, from summit to sea, treetop to bedrock, with the appropriate timeliness, resolution, reliability, accuracy, and quantified uncertainty required to inform risk-based water resource management decisions.Essential Job Functions:Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Scan for vulnerabilities and resolve. Participated in large system and subsystem planning.Assist in "Research to Operations " efforts, deploying the latest science in water prediction into a reliable operational environment.Experience Required:

• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship indefinitely
• BS/BA in Computer Science or similar
• 3 to 6 years of Systems Administration experience
• Experience designing IT infrastructure across multiple geographic locations
• Skilled at utilizing: Linux (RedHat), Apache, Nagios, NetBackup, BIND, Clustering, Tenable
• Experience with DevOps, Docker, Gitlab, Storage
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet
• Experience supporting containers
• Skilled at data center management
• Experience with enterprise tools for patching IT systems
• Support and maintain the IT infrastructure.
• Experience utilizing Tenable and resolve system vulnerabilities
