Mainframe Cobol Programmers

Position: Mainframe Cobol Programmers Duration: 2 years Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite from day1) Position Description

• Develops enterprise-level application solutions to include integrating major enhancements, creating custom interfaces, functions and features all in an IBM z/OS mainframe Cobol environment.
• This position will serve in an expert technical role.
• The role requires that the incumbent possess an advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of application systems design and integration.
• The role will further require the incumbent be responsible for the full SDLC to include gathering of project requirements and specifications, designing, coding, testing, composing implementation plans, deploying, maintaining, supporting existing application systems, and documenting all aspects of application software and its development.
• These activities are to be undertaken while using industry standard software development practices and techniques.
• This role requires the incumbent to be in possession of excellent communication skills.
• All of the above being necessary and required in order to ensure the development and deployment of the high-level deliverables for the end-users.

• Advanced-Expert level of experience in both batch and CICS environments to include expert-level Cobol programming
• Expert CICS coding experience, proficient in the use of JCL, Eztrieve, CICS, Maps, Mapsets, Expediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid
• 10+ years of experience in the environments and skillsets outlined above
• Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field. Extensive work experience can be substituted.
