Manufacturing Engineer

System One is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturing company in Huntsville, AL.Responsibilities:Day-to-day engineering duties on the plant floor to support production.

Support and lead cost savings efforts, identifying new practices and procedures that will increase throughput, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve repeatable quality.

Utilize Lean manufacturing methodology to drive process improvements.

Recommend and implement process improvements.

Work to resolve daily production/quality issues driving to root cause and resolution.

Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required, Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred

Solidworks and/or AutoCAD

3-5 years of experience working as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer, with steel manufacturing or heavy industrial experience a plus

Lean manufacturing concepts, including Kaizen improvement process

Capital project management skills a plus.

Must be comfortable working on the floor 50% of the time
