As a Mechanical Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in helping to assemble equipment and machine parts in a fast-paced prototype environment. You will be helping as part of the assembly team to ensure efficient and high-quality prototype equipment. You will be accountable for performing mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of aerospace components and systems. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business.You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Huntsville, AL.In this role, you will operate and maintain various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision parts according to specifications. Your attention to detail and expertise in machining will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a vital member of our equipment assembly team, performing mechanical assembly and assembly of coolant and refrigerant systems.

Operate and maintain machines, such as manual lathes, manual mills, Drill Press, and grinders, to fabricate precision parts

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining and assembly operations

Perform quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications

Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or a related field

1+ years of Machining experience or Machining Training.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and procedures

WE VALUE

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field

Welding experience and proficiency

Experience with mechanical assembly, experience with basic electrical assembly, experience with HVAC and Coolant systems.

Experience in the aerospace or aviation industry

Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
