Network Engineer

DescriptionThis position will pay between $75-85k.Job DescriptionLeidoshas an immediate opportunity for aNetwork Engineer I on theAdvanced Enterprise Global Information Services (AEGIS) Contract. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Network Engineer I will be positioned in the AEGIS HOSC Networking Group at Marshall Space Flight Center inHuntsville, Alabama.Job Description:

Design, engineering, configuration, testing, and documentation of HOSC network architectures in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol environment.

Handle daily network changes such as router and switch configurations requested by customers.

Troubleshoot issues.

Support HOSC Operations during high visibility or critical activities.

Monitor systems health and status using available tools and techniques.

Required Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Basic working knowledge of routed data protocols and hardware platforms.

General understanding of network architectures.

Ability to multi-task between multiple ongoing projects in order to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of and experience using CISCO routers and switches as well as network CheckPoint firewalls.

Required Education/Experience:

BS and 2 years of experience OR equivalent years of experience.

Clearance:Must be able to attain a Public Trust Clearance.This position will pay between $75-85k.Pay Range:Pay Range $54,600.00 - $98,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
