Description: Use CAD software to generate accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models in accordance with project specifications and design requirements. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project objectives and translate design concepts into technical drawings and models. Revise and update existing drawings as needed to incorporate design changes and improvements. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all CAD designs and drawings. Participate in design reviews and provide input to optimize design processes and improve efficiency. Maintain organized records of all CAD drawings and models, ensuring version control and accessibility. Prepares layouts, plans, installations/construction drawings, and estimates for configuration of equipment, architecture and support areas within the manufacturing shop. Produce technical documents (progress reports, status reports, change impact analysis) pertaining to layout changes within building layout Manage & coordinate building layout with various teams (internal & external) during project planning, launch and execution. Coordinate with vendors in preparing Statements of Work for construction projects Coordinate review of bid packets from contractors for construction projects Coordinate and manage contractors during construction/layout changes Review and inspect “as built” drawings and conditions with building projects. Updates layout based on field measurements and verifications. Create detailed project plans based on milestones and timelines as decided from project scope.Additional Skills & Qualifications:What You Bring High School Diploma/ GED Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWorks. Good knowledge and understanding of building layout principles. Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to work and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.What Will Set You Apart Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field. Equivalent experience to be considered. Proven experience working as a Plant Layout/CAD Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and/or construction projects. Knowledge of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of plant layout in automotive manufacturing is highly desirable. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
