Role : : QA Engineer (Healthcare Experience Mandatory)Location :: Montgomery, AL (Onsite from Day 1)Duration : Long TermJob Description :: Key Responsibilities:To gather, communicate, document and test system requirements to ensure that system/system deliverables meet specifications and satisfy the needs of the business users and associated stakeholders with no negative impact to existing environment functionality.Duties: Collaborate with IT project lead, technical lead, development team and end users to design, plan, execute and validate scenarios, scripts, and procedures to test system functionality prior to implementation Identify bugs through systematic manual and or automated testing of systems and application software Participate in design and requirements reviews, design and develop testing procedures and implement various types of tests to include functional, integration, regression and performance testsEvaluate the testing and recommend improvements in the validation strategy Work closely with the development team to understand features, help reproduce errors and ensure defects are resolvedReview requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed.Support and adhere to standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure the consistent execution of testing procedures Utilize all support tools as directed including but not limited to entering all appropriate information (such as Product Backlog Item, tasks and bugs) into Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and creating testing status, defect reports, and software maturity metrics Interacts with multiple organizations and management levels. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.Other duties may be assigned. Provide the following deliverables per direction of and assignment by the Agency Project Sponsor and/or the Agency Project Manager: Report accurately on test results, providing a test summary after each sprint to Release manager. Report the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.Skills:Experience developing software tests for functional, performance and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc, and manual testing elements. In-depth knowledge of testing Web-based applications.Ability to break down prioritized requirements into individual sprints Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation ServerPrior exp. Working with State client or Healthcare domainExperience Required: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in testing environmentExperience Preferred: Experience with State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, and DHR business area or health care industryEducation Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experienceAdditional Information: - Candidate will work 100% onsite in Montgomery, AL. No remote work will be considered at this time
