Description The Senior Manager, Logistics and Service Fulfillment will lead and be responsible for all logistics functions on the NASA End-user Services & Technologies (NEST) program, supporting the full IT equipment lifecycle for 60,000 NASA end users. This will include oversight of 10 geographically dispersed Centers and other smaller satellite sites with warehouses and local logistics staff. This will be a people leader position with both direct and indirect/matrixed staff.In this position, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely and accurate management of IT equipment and approved Enterprise initiatives that directly supports computer logistical operations within the NEST program. Examples of such equipment will include laptops, desktops, peripherals, and all other IT equipment that is orderable on the approved NASA catalog. The timeliness and accuracy referred to in this description is key, and a must, to successfully execute the requirements of this position and necessary for continued employment.The ability to implement resilient inventory accounting processes, material demand forecasts, and to work collaboratively with vendor and supply chain partners to ensure the necessary material is available to service teams precisely when, where, and how they require is essential to success in this position.The candidate must possess a strong and impeccable attention to detail, multitasking ability, and provide effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and adherence to standardized work processes.Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure impeccable adherence to contract requirements

Ensure contract mandated Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met

Ensure enterprise adherence to standardized processes and procedures

Fully responsible for and account for the physical security, asset management, and inventory accounting of all program property

Provide oversite and overall monitoring of material distribution to ensure stock levels for center execution are maintained as well as the safe and efficient flow of devices, orders, and peripheral assets

Responsibilities will include the oversite and building, coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of Center and Enterprise Logistics professionals, including Center Logistics Managers, but may also include performing manual tasks to ensure compliance with prescribed contract Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Responsible for and ownership of process documentation and creating efficiencies to the logistics processes as ongoing continual service improvements for the center and the agency

Preparing and giving presentations and reports to both contract and Government senior leadership regarding performance against material fulfillment requirements and other initiatives

The Logistics Manager must ensure that timely and accurate reviews of inventory, in-bound and out-bound shipments and keeps-up with our ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained and/or reported

Prepare or delegate shipment of packages via FedEx, UPS, USPS, and any other carriers.

Quality control with system documentation of packing slips, invoices, material costs and transactions

Basic Qualifications:

Proven experience in implementing a logistics and inventory management plan across a complex, geographically dispersed environment with multiple warehouses

Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust clearance

Requires either a bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 6 years of experience

ServiceNow and CostPoint experience is a must

Highly demonstrated ability to prioritize work requirements

Highly demonstrated ability to work independently, delegate tasks to leads, and lead high performing teams

Highly demonstrated ability to build, maintain, encourage, and motivate a team.

Attention to detail is a must

Self-motivation is a must

Ability to work efficiently with accuracy and meet demanding timelines is a must for successfully executing the requirements for this position

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or equivalent years of experienc.Pay Range:Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
