Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a competent Sr. Accountant to join our team in BIRMINGHAM, Alabama. The selected individual will be tasked with handling a variety of accounting duties and responsibilities. This role is crucial to maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.Responsibilities: Execute claims reconciliations accurately and promptly. Prepare and process ACH batches regularly. Handle all accounting tasks from start to finish, ensuring everything aligns with internal regulations. Carry out bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for. Generate and present mission statements for internal producers to guide their operations. Post receipts with subledgers to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare month-end journal entries, ensuring they reflect the organization's financial status accurately. Use the claims system to post relevant financial data. Manage a 2-day close process, ensuring all financial data is updated and accurate. Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close to perform duties effectively. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation. Experience with bank reconciliations. Knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage month-end close procedures. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
