In this role you will lead strategy development & execution, supplier selection, long term contract negotiation & management and oversee key strategic supplier relationships. You will also be responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, and develop, implement, and improve sourcing strategy within the Machining commodity.This hybrid role will combine telecommuting with as needed on-site presence and requires a commutable proximity to one of the locations stated in theAdditional Details section below.We value diverse skills and experience, so don’t hold back. Develop and implement commodity roadmaps, to include cost reduction, performance, and emerging technologies.

Meet or exceed business and program objectives to include supplier financial, technical, quality, and schedule performance.

Partner with Engineering, Suppliers, RMD Factories and Programs to develop strategy to meet customer needs.

Collaborate with engineering product owners to align their technology roadmaps to supplier capabilities and Mission Area product/technology strategies.

Influence a cross functional team of engineers, quality, and procurement professionals to execute supply chain goals.

Build relationships with supplier counterparts and executives to improve the supplier performance and alignment with our organization’s priorities and strategies.

Create, maintain, and execute a plan to achieve Commodity mappings to programs.

Develop and implement a supplier strategy that addresses current execution and future business.

Domestic business travel approximately 30%

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant supply chain experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant supply chain experience

Experience as a member of a cross-functional team

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

Experience in procurement, subcontract management, commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and/or program management

Change management experience.

Experience with machining and/or hardware components manufacturing processes and technologies.

Experience leading teams and influencing in a matrix organization.

Master’s Degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering, or related field

Experience performing duties with minimal oversight; supporting an organization’s goals, setting the strategy and then determining the tactical tasks to achieve success.

Defense industry experience and familiarity with FAR, DFAR

Supplier negotiation experience
