job detailsjob summary:We are seeking a Systems/Capability Engineer with demonstrated experience in mission analysis to take on a leadership role for a missile defense project.location: Huntsville, Alabamajob type: Contractsalary: $80 - 95 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Required Skills -Systems Engineering V Model, logical architecture modeling, space systemsJob Duties -A Capability Engineer will perform the following:

Act as a System Architect / Systems Engineering lead as the technology Owner for a Capability / Project across all of the project lifecycle

Includes Test & Fielding & Operations & Sustainment (O&S)

Ensure Technical Content Defined/Understood by team(s)

Define the Concept, present at the EE kick off and/or project kick off

Actively Participate in Iteration Planning (if appropriate)

Answer questions from teams € Assist Project Lead/Chief Engineer in identifying Watch Items and Risks

Advise Project Lead/Chief Engineer of any schedule or any other concerns

Coordinate technical concept across all aspects of the program/lifecycle along-side the project lead/Chief Engineer

Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews

Provide use case development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department

Review the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis

Job Requirements -Bachelor degree and 9 years experience or advanced degree and 7 years experience

Must possess the ability to be part of an integrated team tasked with developing and maintaining the physical, functional, and technical requirements baselines and architecture necessary to describe the desired capabilities of an evolving MDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system

Full understanding of Systems Engineering

Demonstrated experience in mission analysis with skill in development of capability concepts, use cases, sequence diagrams

Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities

Skills in logical architecture modeling and/or interface definition.

Desired Skills & Experience -Experience with Space Domain and Missile Defense Systemsqualifications:

Experience level: Experienced
