Reports To: Crew Leader / Landscape Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Weedeater Operator is responsible for maintaining the appearance of residential, commercial,

or public landscapes

by using a string trimmer (weedeater) to trim grass, weeds, and other vegetation in hard-to-reach

areas. This role

involves physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather

conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate string trimmer (weedeater) safely and efficiently

- Trim grass and weeds around buildings, fences, trees, flower beds, sidewalks, and other obstacles

- Inspect and maintain weedeater equipment (fueling, line replacement, cleaning)

- Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, blowing, and cleanup

- Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

- Communicate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently

- Report equipment damage or unsafe conditions immediately

Qualifications:

- Experience with string trimmers or willingness to be trained

- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods

- Capable of lifting 25-50 lbs and performing repetitive tasksDependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

- Basic understanding of landscaping tools and safety practices

Preferred (but not required):

- Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience

- Valid driver's license

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Pay Range:

$14-$16/hour (depending on experience and location)
