Join eXcell!We have a new opportunity for an on-site Windows Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the support and implementation of on-premises and virtual servers, active directory, cluster management, and improvement processes. Position will begin on-site but after trained properly candidate can work a remote scheduled from home 2 to 3 days a week.Scope of Activity:
- Work using Microsoft Servers Administration including Active directory configuration, group policy, DNS, print management, DHCP and SQL cluster management, IIS, RADIUS and VPN
- Support with Windows 10 configuration and desktop OS deployment management
- Create and manage virtual infrastructure using VMWare
- VMware vSphere ESXi patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting VMware related issues
- Create and manage Netapp storage volumes (or similar such as HP and Dell Storages)
- Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery operations
- Evaluate critical systems, prioritize work, and define and resolve solutions to problems
- Suggest and oversee improvement processes
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems and to assess computing needs and system requirements for emerging technologies
- Provide technicians escalated support for technical issues
- Windows patch management and upgrades to system firmware and hardware
- Establish work order and incident resolution expectations with users to prevent aging and unresolved issues
- Maintain unified communications, VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms
- Manage enterprise anti-malware, anti-virus (McAfee) and encryption technologies
- Install and manage of third-party applications for departments
- Develop standards and documentation for processes
- Create and manipulate PowerShell Scripts
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
- 5+ years of experience working as a Windows System Administration and / or databases
- Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive working relationships
- Ability to stay well organized and work in a timely manner
- Strong all-around communication skills to explain complicated computer concepts
- Discretion in handling people's private information on data servers and throughout the network
- Excellent problem-solving skills, not intimidated by new or complex situations
- Ability to work and collaborate within a team
- Ability to work within a live environment
- Previous exposure to automation and scripting tools, as well as a working knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and networking software
- Must possess a track record of developing and implementing various IT strategies and plans
- NetApp Storage preferred (Dell and HP storage experience accepted)
- Industry certifications preferred
