Yard Driver

Job Description

The yard driver is responsible for moving trailers on and off docks, spotting trailers on docks and on tank farm, moving roll off boxes, transporting trailers between plant 1, plant 2 and 10-day yard.

• Maintaining trailers on the yard
• Moving trailers on and off docks
• Spotting trailers on docks
• Spotting tankers on tank farm
• Moving roll off boxes
• Moving dump beds
• Moving trailers between Plant 1 and Plant 2 at Glencoe location
• Moving trailers between Plants 1 and 2 and the 10 Day Storage Yard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CDL Class A
• CDL HazMaterials endorsement for transporting waste
• Tanker Endorsement

• Two or more years’ experience with a straight truck or combo vehicle as well as with roll off boxes
• Some waste industry experience
• TWIC endorsement
• Strong working knowledge of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations
• Knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
