The Front Desk Clerk at Hotel Captain Cook is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests, ensuring a smooth registration and checkout process, and providing information on special requests, events, and attractions within the hotel. This role requires maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality, acknowledging all patrons courteously. Strong typing and computer skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
o Greet and assist guests with the registration and checkout process, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience
o Provide information and assistance with special requests, hotel events, and local attractions
o Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, acknowledging guests appropriately
o Manage guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently using hotel management software
o Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively
o Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest needs and ensure a cohesive guest experience
o Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
o Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
Minimum Education:
o High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
o At least 1-2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a high-end hotel or hospitality environment
o Experience with hotel management software and booking systems
Skills/Abilities:
o Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Proficiency in typing and computer use, including familiarity with hotel management software
o Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
o Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service
