RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Network Timing Engineer-WAN in Anchorage, Alaska (AK).
Responsibilities include: Provide senior level support for the planning, design, installation, implementation, and documentation of timing and WAN infrastructure Senior Network Timing Engineer will maintain and troubleshoot procedures of timing platforms Perform timing systems software and firmware upgrades on systems and in areas where external timing support cannot be provided Senior Network Timing Engineer will assist with interfacing timing systems with military cryptographic equipment, red switch, and common transport mediums such as commercially leased circuits, SONET, and IP based transportREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT related discipline CCNP Enterprise certification or equivalent 8+ years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity Demonstrated experience in Network Timing Protocol (NTP) and/or Precision Time Protocol (PTP) Experience in analyzing network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements Experience in Timing architectures and design with a strong working knowledge of GPS May be subject to non-standard work hours Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
