Tax Preparers Wanted – Entry-Level and Experienced (Wasilla, AK)

Location: Liberty Tax – Wasilla Office (3400 E Cottle Loop, Suite 100)

Liberty Tax is hiring friendly, detail-oriented individuals for the upcoming tax season. Whether you are brand new to the field or already have experience preparing returns, we welcome you to apply. We offer paid training, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to build valuable skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Available Positions

Entry-Level / Trainee Tax Preparer – $16.60 per hour

Experienced Tax Preparer – up to $18.28 per hour

All preparers are also eligible for a bonus of 1% to 4% of tax preparation fees billed and collected. This bonus typically averages about $900 per tax season (approximately 10% of stated wages).

Employment Details

Positions available: 4 full-time positions or equivalent part-time staffing

Full-time and part-time positions available

Seasonal employment: December 15, 2025 through April 17, 2026

Paid one-week training: December 15–19, 10am to 4pm

Paid final orientation: January 5–6, 10am to 4pm

Interviews begin November 24

Final hiring decisions made by December 8

What You Will Do

Prepare accurate and complete individual income tax returns

Provide excellent customer service to every client

Use tax software to enter data and review tax documents

Communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced environment

Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards at all times

Call prior-year customers to remind them that tax season has begun and assist with scheduling appointments

What We Are Looking For

Strong attention to detail

Comfort with computers and ability to learn new software

Good communication skills

Willingness to learn and adapt to new information

No prior tax experience is required. Entry-level candidates qualify through our paid training program held December 15–19.
