Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an interim Controller that would be responsible for managing one of our construction clients' financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle to NetSuite implementations, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entry standardization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Lead the transition of financial systems from Oracle to NetSuite. Ensure seamless integration and functionality of NetSuite with existing financial processes. Provide training and support to finance team members on NetSuite functionalities. Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Develop and implement reconciliation procedures and best practices. Develop and implement standardized processes for journal entries to ensure consistency and accuracy. Review and approve journal entries prepared by the accounting team. Ensure all journal entries comply with GAAP and internal policies. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit. Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost reductions. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Manage and develop the accounting team. Set performance goals and provide regular feedback. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller or similar role. Proven experience with Oracle and NetSuite ERP systems. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Excellent knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry standardization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
