You will be an active and integral member of the Next Generation Avionics team, partnering with Engineering Leaders, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ship services and tools that greatly increase the productivity of our users to deliver and integrate their applications in complex avionics systems. Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join our development team in building the next generation Avionics SaaS tools to enable our users to build and integrate their critical applications within their aircraft systems.

The product you will be designing and developing is a distributed, event-driven, microservices platform.

You will leverage your skills to develop features within a containerized and decoupled microservices architecture.

You will be responsible for the design, build, test, and deployment of new features leveraging DevOps continuous delivery practices.

You will be coached and mentored by senior engineers to you grow your software engineering skills through relevant and challenging on the job opportunities.

Develop and test new features

Learn and use continuous delivery skills including the writing, and integration of Unit, Functional, Contract tests and Canary deployment strategies.

Diagnose and address problems

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science

4+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role

WE VALUE

Demonstrated ability to work independently to deliver on objectives

An understanding of working within an Agile Software Development Lifecycle

Well versed in CI/CD methodology and tooling

Experience working on tools like Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins

Technical Understanding of Cloud Concepts

Experience with some of the following beneficial:

Experience with .Net, Blazor framework and NuGet packages.

Experience with container runtimes and container management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes & Helm

Hands-on experience working on Linux systems

Skills on cloud environment programming & automation, Azure and OpenShift experience is preferred

Understanding of Security Concepts and Security tools integration

Experience with Azure and Kubernetes in a production environment

Experience with agile or iterative development methodologies to delivering SaaS products
