Position Description:AZDA requires assistance with the redesign/refit of the Fertilizer Access and SQL databases. The current status of the Native Microsoft Access Fertilizer database is not sustainable. Although the root tables are being housed within our SQL Database on SQL01, the tables are linked in the fertilizer database. This causes issues with computers being “timed-out” when conducting a more data-heavy search. The support person will need to:- Create a split database with stored procedures, views, and tables in SQL and Reports and Forms contained in the Microsoft Access database front end using the Microsoft Access Data Project functionality
- Evaluate the current access database needs and all form functionality reverse-engineered and documented to ensure all functionality is modified to work with the split database.
Additional Info: The SQL Database already exists with the root tables that are the primary data storage for the Fertilizer program. Microsoft Access 2010 will be the preferred Microsoft Product for the front-end of the database as it is the last product that supports the ADP connectivity to a SQL back-end.- Remap all forms and reports to use any newly created stored procedures that will replace the existing Microsoft Access Queries
SKILLS REQUIRED- SQL database connections administration Microsoft Access database configuration and administration Programming with C#, and DotNet in Model, View, Controller Framework
- Minimum of 3 years of Access and SQL configuration and management
- Ability to assess existing databases and application connections and create standard operating procedures
- Experience with C#, and DotNet in Model, View, Controller Framework
ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe work location for this position will be Phoenix, AZ, 85007. This position will be a mix of on-site and hybrid remote work. The contract is a minimum of 3 months or a maximum of 6 months.
