This role allows for health care teams to confidently leverage diagnostic equipment when needed because of the work you do through a combination of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and equipment repairs.You’ll be working in a hospital where you can expect to encounter patients and clinicians. Performs significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.
Provides equipment repair throughout responsible area.
Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.
Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment.
Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field
OR equivalent military education
OR graduate of a technical program
Minimum of one (1) year of experience servicing technical equipment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in the standardized situations
Must be familiar with MS Office Suite and internet-based applications
Preferred Qualifications:
One of the following certifications is preferred:
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)
Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM)
