Business Intelligence Developer

Position Description CGI is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team!

Your future duties and responsibilities Collaborate with the business and product collaborators to design and develop Business Intelligence content including data semantic models, reports, dashboards and visualizations.

Work with UI/UX teams in refining content and will deliver training on features and functionality to end users.

Manage reports and query tuning.

Should have experience creating and deploying BI interfaces using a variety of COTs and open source tools, as well as, being proficient with database technologies and query tools.

Core Responsibilities:• Build reports and dashboards in various BI platforms including leading vendors such as SAP Business Objects, Tableau and Power BI, Like etc.• Build metadata layer or curated data sources to enable self-service reporting• Add customizations, if required, and integrate with other applications• Apply excellent SQL and data warehousing skills to include deploying logical and physical models• Exhibits deep understanding of dimensional modeling concepts• Design BI solutions to reports against large volumes of data and experience tuning reports and queries• Perform administration tasks in the support of the ETL process and reporting software• Support testing activity in regards to performance, security and vulnerability

Additional responsibilities:• Attend and contribute to client and team meetings• Author and review design documents and other project deliverables• Align with project documentation standards• Understand work plan activities, and deliver accurate status on work completion• Identify and communicate issues in a timely manner

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Minimum of 5 years relevant Business Intelligence experience• 4+ years of management consulting, advisory or professional services consulting experience• UI/UX design standard methodologies• Logical and physical modeling including dimensional modeling• SQL, Python• Agile and DevOps principles• Cloud analytic offerings

Additional skills:• Ability to prioritize optimally, multitask, and manage time appropriately• Ability to build and maintain client relationship• Good interpersonal skills and clear communication skills• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills• Phenomenal attention to detail and follow-through

Developer certifications:SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence 4.2

Tableau certified Professional Desktop

Tableau certified specialist desktop

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
