We intend to make a transformational difference in Alzheimer's research and care.POSITION SUMMARYThis position provides clinical trials financial oversight for all research pre-award activities. The team member will be a subject matter expert in the field of Payer Coverage Analysis (PCA). This includes the ability to independently interpret Medicare regulations, clinical guidelines, and other resources to make and justify coverage determinations for protocol-required tests and procedures. The team member will also be a subject matter expert in the field of clinical trial budget negotiations. This includes the ability to independently manage multiple budget negotiations with a firm understanding of research billing compliance. Ensures timely and accurate entry of PCA and budget terms into the CTMS system.CORE FUNCTIONSNegotiates, analyzes, recommends, and regularly reviews the financial components of a clinical trial. Responds to issues in a timely manner and prevents cost overruns.

Works closely with health sciences project managers and clinical coordinators to develop accurate clinical trial budgets, negotiate fiscally sound contracts, and provide financial management throughout the life of the trial.

Supports clinical trials by negotiating budgets, as well as providing financial management and oversight of clinical trials.

Makes decisions guided by policies in non- standard situation. Impacts the achievement of operational, project or service objectives. Monitors and controls costs of own work and may manage budgets for moderate sized projects or programs.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Must maintain highly confidential data. Minimum of four years with significant financial experience in Health Care, Research Industry, or related industry.PC and various application proficiency required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional clinical trials finance experience preferred.Additional related education and/or experience preferred.EOE/Female/Minority/Disability/Veterans
