Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. This role operates within the human resources function, with a focus on managing and enhancing employee benefits programs. The selected candidate will be expected to carry out various tasks, including benefits administration, data analysis, program optimization, compliance, and employee support.Responsibilities: Administer and manage the company's cafeteria plans, including flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs). Offer support for employee benefits inquiries, including plan options, enrollment processes, and eligibility. Utilize Microsoft Excel skills to analyze benefits data, track enrollment trends, and generate detailed reports. Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to benefits programs. Conduct periodic audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Analyze benefits usage and trends to recommend improvements or adjustments to the cafeteria plans and other benefits offerings. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement enhancements or address any issues related to benefits programs. Ensure benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain and update benefits documentation, including plan summaries, compliance notices, and employee communications. Deliver clear and effective communication to employees regarding benefits options, changes, and utilization. Lead or participate in projects related to benefits program enhancements, system upgrades, or process improvements. Requirements Possession of strong skills in Auditing, Benefit Functions, Communication, Cafeteria Plan, and Microsoft Excel Comprehensive understanding of compensation and benefits administration Ability to analyze, interpret and implement complex benefit plans Proficiency in managing and coordinating benefits programs Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Familiarity with local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to benefits administration Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Proven track record in problem-solving and decision-making abilities Experience in benefits administration software and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) would be advantageous.
