Commercial General Contractor seeking an experienced Construction Accountant/Accounting Admin to support and report to the Controller to help oversee all the accounting and general office needs. We are looking for an energetic and dependable individual that will assist in the company’s growth and development. This is an in-office opportunity only.
Job Description:
Process GL invoices, subcontractor invoices, payments and joint payments. Respond to vendor inquires with regards to payment status and reconciling of statements. Maintain W9’s, preliminary notices and sub/supplier lien waivers.
Assist the Controller with AIA monthly owner invoicing, bank reconciliation’s, TPT Reporting, and weekly payroll processing.
Maintain estimates, change orders, job costing functions and tracking of contracts and insurance as well as general office administration and organization.
Other duties as needed to support company goals and objectives.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Minimum 2-year construction accounting experience with a basic knowledge of general accounting procedures and standards.
Experience with Quick Books Premier Contractor’s Edition or comparable.
Computer proficiency, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
