Envision Your Experience

The Project Manager, Customer Experience, is responsible for ensuring that cross-departmental processes, projects, and initiatives are successfully implemented. The Project Manager leads the design, planning, and implementation of complex projects for systems and processes that typically affect many departments/users. Working cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes, this position facilitates project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; develops methods to monitor project progress; and recommends corrective solutions where needed. Through a passion for planning and execution of work, this position supports efforts to improve our tools, design processes, enact change, and drive decisions based on data.

  • Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the services department.
  • Successfully manage projects within various Customer Experience departments as well as across multiple departments within the company, including planning, resourcing, progress tracking, communicating, and reporting.
  • Translate goals and objectives into iterative deliverables for implementation based on a realistic understanding of effort and capacity.
  • Balance competing factors and manage the gaps and interfaces between workstreams to effectively maximize impact of the project.
  • Identify, review, and work with vendors or other outside resources to meet project needs.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that the output of each project and its milestones satisfy the agreed objectives within the planned timeline and scope.
  • Be vigilantly aware of the status of critical elements of the project at all times, communicating status and risk to relevant stakeholders, team, and partners, including up the management chain, escalating further when appropriate on trade-off decisions; identify and monitor risks and develop response plans when necessary.
  • Generate, disseminate, and maintain all required project documentation, ensuring that all documents are stored with revision control and accessible by the selected audience.
  • Ensure the intended outcome and value of projects are well-understood and communicated to stakeholders and the teams responsible for delivering the project expectations.
  • Serve as a “collaboration catalyst” between all stakeholder departments managing change; shifting gears comfortably; deciding and acting appropriately.
  • Promote, enable, and support changes to how the organization and project team operate in order to accomplish defined business value.
  • Adapt to changes as they occur over the life of a project, remaining focused on delivering intended business value aligned with larger programs or initiatives.
  • Maintain consistent knowledge of the status of critical elements of the entire project and report upon request to varied organizational groups.
  • Make informed recommendations and provide options to adjust projects implementation strategies as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

This is a regular, full-time position, based out of your home office (must be in the U.S.).

Share Your Expertise

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3+ years of experience in project management; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • PMP certification, PMI Agile Certification (PMI-ACP) preferred.
  • Experience with online project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, etc. preferred in partnership with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinker driving teams to high quality results with the ability to identify and understand complex problems/issues and formulate alternate solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills; self-directed to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Quickly learn, understand, communicate, and integrate technical concepts and issues.
  • Experience working, influencing, and networking within a matrix organization.
  • A solid understanding of risk management processes.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proven self-management and team-management skills.
  • Ability to monitor and control project schedules.
  • Capable of making good decisions under pressure.
