Job Summary Our client is looking to add a Data Architect to their team. This individual will be responsible for design and development of the Data Management reporting systems data architectures. The primary responsibility will be a focus on data sourcing, data integration, and data modeling to ensure systems meet the analytical needs of business users. You will work closely with the project development teams and project support teams to ensure the right architecture is implemented across multiple work streams. You will also contribute to development of standards (data definition, tools, and platforms) as related to information management, data warehouse, data governance, and business intelligence. Education & Experience Required- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with Data Management, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect
- Proficient with SQL (T-SQL preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Star and Snowflake Schema design and architecture
- Experience with erwin, ER/Studio, or other data modeling tool
- Demonstrable experience creating Source to Target Mapping documentation
- Familiar with Agile software development lifecycles
- Experience working with healthcare related datasets including Claims and Provider related data.
- Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate with / to all levels of the organization
- Experience with ActiveBatch Workload Management tool sets
- Experience working as a Data Analyst in a Business Intelligence related organization
- Experience with ODS type solutions
- Experience working with EDIFCS related data sources
- Experience with SQL Server databases
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience with Tableau
- Design data store, data warehouse, and data mart structures
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for reporting databases
- Translate enterprise or business requirements into long-term information and data architecture solutions
- Collaborate with users, business analysts, developers, database administrators, and project managers on reporting and data management projects
- Perform data profiling and data quality validation processes
- Develop and implement metadata management, data dictionary, data quality, data profiling, data security, shared data usage, and data cleansing standards
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and government security policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
