This position will build SVB's global operations for physical and digital records storage and retention to ensure compliance with policy and global data retention and deletion law s . They will report to SVB's Director of Data Retention as a centralized position to coordinate departmental efforts, further influence and implement consistent policies and procedures, and monitor ongoing policy and compliance requirements.This role will both help design and implement solutions which help to mature the bank's privacy and data retention practices through the implementation of solutions to automate data retention and deletion across the bank's physical and digital records , and establish increased automation for data retention metrics and management reporting. Key responsibilities:- Builds stron g working relationships across the company with subject matter experts, data guardians, department record coordinators and other employees to advance records management, analysis and the retention and deletion program
- Develops knowledge of key assets, data, records and database systems across the company
- Build global Data Retention and Destruction Management strategy
- Drive and/or assist in defining Data Retention and Deletion project requirements and deliverables by identifying, driving and participating in project milestones and phases, as well as specific action items
- Coordinate the execution activities of the Data Retention and Destruction Program across the enterprise and all lines of business
- Communicate with senior management regarding project progress and recommendations/decisions. Develop effective presentations and project update materials suitable for senior executives.
- Actively lead and collaborate in workstream meetings and ad hoc working sessions including driving agendas, preparing meeting minutes and keeping track of agreed action s
- Monitor the details and status of project and escalate and resolve any project issues in an efficient manner.
- C onduct large scale and one-on-one training and education as necessary
- Supports business needs on records management related matters
- Develops understanding of business data retention practices and processes
- Participates in activities related to the records management audit s
- Reviews and identifies opportunities to improve records management operational processes
- Will manage a team of professionals in support of the retention program
- Four years of records management experience, including experience implementing global data retention and deletion operations.
- Ability to understand and implement records management , retention and destruction policies, procedures and records retention schedule
- Associates Degree in related field or relevant, equivalent experience.

- Ability to identify and evaluate technical issues
- Ability to works independently with minimal guidance
- Possesses sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills

- Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented, well-organized and efficient
- Possesses high attention to details
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Access) and proficiency or willingness to learn content around records management applications
- Certified Records Manager (CRM), Information Governance Professional (IGP), or similar certifications desired.
