Our IT team has 4 different departments: Information Security, IT Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, and IT Commerce & Customer Engagement. About the LocationThis position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the JobEIM AnalystJob Responsibilities: Data is critical to the success of any retail organization, and at PetSmart, it is the lifeblood that drives decision making by providing accurate information to make strategic business decisions and process improvements. As a Customer Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with the various Customer Data Sources and Business Teams to ensure the accuracy and recency of the Customer Data to maximize business value. You will observe, hypothesize, test, and execute upon solutions to operational bugs and scheduled project workPetSmart needs you to drive our company success by providing accurate and reliable business information that will help us to bring our Pet Parent's closer to their Pet's so they can live a more fulfilled life, to be the trusted partner to pet parents, being a highly customer focused retailer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Monitoring of Master Data Management (MDM) Application - Application Servers, REST Services, server response times, failures, queue volume
- Analysis of suspects and collapses happening within the MDM - real time and batch
- Manual consolidation of Customer Data based on observations and requests
- Bulk loading and purging of Customer Data using Batch Processing and ETL tools
- Linux, Windows Server, and IBM WebSphere Server Health Checks
- Service improvements and enhancements
- Monitor ETL jobs across staging layers (Optional)
- Incident and problem ticket resolution related to the Customer MDM application
- Analysis and enhancement of data flow from source systems, data staging layers and within the MDM application
- Troubleshoot failures in the ingestion, updating, and publishing of Customer Data by MDM.
- Provide impact analysis to Project Teams that would consume/modify Customer Data by interacting with MDM
- Attend change control & design review meetings, stand-up calls with the Business SME's and data/application owners
- Knowledge of Master Data Management, with an understanding of the Customer/Profile Data
- Knowledge of SQL with 2 years of experience (Netezza, SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
- Knowledge of Data Quality concepts
- Practitioner level knowledge of ITSM processes and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/SCRUM Development Principles
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
- Ability to develop successful relationships with external and internal partners
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to understand key business processes with minimal guidance or explanation
- Knowledge of business intelligence, data warehousing, data modeling, data architecture and related terminology
- Knowledge of ETL Tools and Process with 1-year experience
- IBM MDM (Standard or Advanced Edition). Other MDM tools may be ok, but need to be able to work on IBM MDM.
- Linux / AIX scripting
- Experience with .Net
- Experience with Big Data technologies.
