Electronics Recycling Technician

Position: Electronics Recycling Technician

Location: 1210 W Alameda Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282

Pay: $20 per hour

Hours: 40 hours/week, 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri (half hour paid lunch)

Expected start date: ASAP.

Probationary period: 60 days

Description:

- Loading/unloading pallets off of trucks.

- Testing electronics and separating broken from functional.

- Breaking down broken electronics for recycling with hand tools and power tools.

- Building/repairing/replacing parts on computers.

- Cleaning electronics for repurpose/resale.

- Customer service with customers who come in to drop off their old electronics for recycling.

Requirements:

- Prior experience with repairing computers is REQUIRED. We don't do micro-soldering, but we will replace parts like hard drives, batteries, RAM, screens, etc. Please mention your experience when you apply.

- Reliable transportation.

- Ability to lift 50lbs.

- Good work ethic. It is summer in Arizona and you will sweat.

- Willingness to learn (and a quick learner).

- Attention to detail.

- Show up on time.

Again, it is hot in Arizona. You will sweat and get your hands very dirty with the recycling portion. We have A/C in the front office and that's where we do our computer repair, but the warehouse does not have A/C and you'll have to spend some time back there to break down electronics for recycling. We have cold water as well.

Please note: We have a 60-day probationary period. Ideally, we'd like to keep you for a long time and provide a career for you. As long as you're a quick learner and hard worker, then the probationary period won't be a problem.
