IDEALFORCE has a Contract position available immediately for a Executive IT Consultant to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. Hybrid model - 2% onsite & 98% remote (needs to be able to come in if needed on rare occasion) Job Description:The Client is seeking an Executive IT Consultant to advise and consult with the Executives and IT and business teams of a large State Agency client as part of Client's consulting practice. The Executive IT Consultant will strategize with the Client to guide a large application development project to completion. The Consultant will work under the direction of the Client Chief of Enterprise Programs & Consulting. The Consultant will partner with Client’s Oversight team to include making recommendations for more effective management and governance of the IT initiative and related staff, resources, and programs. The Consultant will assist in mentoring Client staff and in strategizing to ensure that agency objectives are achieved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. The Consultant will also guide the work of outside technical advisers engaged to review project documentation and external stakeholder engagement. The Consultant requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, executive level communication and presentation skills, and deep experience and proven success in leading successful strategic IT initiatives. The role requires a “big picture” outlook to watch out for risks before they become issues and assist in developing mitigation strategies. The Consultant must be able to ask probing questions and assure internal and external Client stakeholder needs are being met. The Consultant must have 5+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology and consulting related matters [Note: 10 years experience preferred but not required]. The Consultant must be able to wear multiple “hats” and have knowledge of a variety of IT roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Product Owner, etc. Knowledge of governance is strongly desired.
