Description:Job SummaryPlease note that this is an onsite position in Tempe, AZ 85284.Responsible for entering new prescriptions for patients, processing exceptions, making contact with physician offices and patients as needed. Job Responsibilities Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Using prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, processes new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescription information, and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry related exceptions. Loads insurance plan and coordination of benefits for new patient. Handles correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.level staff as appropriate. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
