Grading Crew Foreman and Operator

Specialty Paving and Grading, LLC is a reputable construction company specializing in asphalt roadways, parking lots and driveways in central and northern Arizona. With a commitment to quality, safety, and excellence, we are dedicated to delivering outstanding results to our clients.

This is a full-time position; The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of Operating Equipment and 5 Years of Foreman Experience.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise grading crew members to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and within deadlines.

· Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

· Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

· Maintain accurate and organized paperwork, including daily logs and work orders.

· Efficiently manage grading operations, including planning and organizing work schedules, material requirements, and equipment usage.

· Participate in grading activities, including fine grading, excavation, and slope stabilization.

· Operate scraper, motor grader, Excavator, Mini Ex, Loader and Gannon efficiently and effectively to grade surfaces to required specifications.

· Grading parking lots, driveways, and roadways required. Layout jobs, able to shoot grades, coordinate trucks, and run crew.

Requirements:

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.

· Proficiency in paperwork management, including daily logs, work orders, and safety documentation.

· Knowledge of grading techniques, materials, and equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grading specifications.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

· Proven experience operating Equipment.

· 5-10 years in construction industry preferred.

· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

· Have a clean driving record with a valid license.

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week.
