The IAM Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering an enterprise class Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy and roadmap for Discount Tire, maintaining / optimizing the solution to achieve the business objectives, and supporting the definition and integration of operational processes. This role requires both technical skills and experience; in addition to proven business engagement experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of the IAM strategy, roadmap and design for the organization. Organize and work with key IT stakeholders to design, build, test, deploy, integrate, and maintain an enterprise class IAM solution and its supporting infrastructure
  • Collaborates with Omni and Web Team on the design, configuration, and administration of a customer facing IAM solution
  • Collaborates with key business and IT stakeholders and solution providers to drive IAM solution requirements, organizational change management and adoption
  • Organizes IAM Governance; establish and enforce IAM standardization across the organization and adoption by all new applications
  • Leads design review with all applicable entities (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Internal Stakeholders, Integrators)
  • Work directly with internal IT and business stakeholders to integrate existing applications into the IAM platform
  • Participate in the standards process for IAM solutions, to support the development and implementation of applicable security and enterprise architecture standards
  • Develops and supports the annual operating budget and capital budgeting for the IAM program
  • Stays current on the latest industry and emerging IAM technologies and business knowledge of industry directions and trends within the IAM vertical
  • Develops and leads IAM system operational and maintenance activities; drives continual service improvements in support of the business
  • Participate in change and release management activities; ensure IAM maintenance activities are performed as needed
  • Ensure design diagrams, system configurations, process design documentation, operating procedures and application integration documentation is delivered and maintained
  • Identify, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators for IAM business functions
  • Implement controls to effectively manage the lifecycle and security of user and privileged accounts
  • Conduct awareness and training campaigns across the organization to educate employees about IAM program benefits and improvements to overall security posture
  • Champion all aspects of the IAM Program, including the business value, ownership of the roadmap, project milestones and key messaging to business and IT

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IAM solution design, implementation, and operations
  • Minimum 3 years of prior management experience leading IAM teams and delivering enterprise class solutions
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing others; creating and measuring individual performance goals; and an understanding of servant leadership
  • Minimum 3 years of experience producing within a corporate environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience in designing, customizing, configuring, and deploying IAM products
  • Experience in the creation of technical standards; and management of a governance process
  • Experience implementing RBAC and ABAC strategies, performing role mining, analysis, and engineering
  • Experience with application / platform onboarding, user provisioning and de-provisioning; access review and certification
  • The ability to interface across the organization with cross- functional teams such as network operations, engineering, web, business personnel, etc.
  • An analytical demeanor and strong decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as the successful candidate will have frequent interaction with key business partners, IT management, vendors, and other technology teams
  • Extensive knowledge of IAM concepts, strategies, standards and technologies
  • A solid technical foundation in enabling and delivering enterprise technologies
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively
  • Ability to design, evaluate and document processes and lead teams in accomplishing process review and improvement
  • Ability to supply constructive feedback to team members. Motivate and coach team members and aid with their career growth
  • Recruit, interview and be part of the hiring process and decision making for all IAM positions. Assist with other areas under the CISO where needed
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to leadership when a vendor or partner is needed to be brought in for work to support the IT portfolio
  • Effective vendor management capabilities, including ongoing vendor relations, evaluation and remediation, budgetary discussions, and contract negotiations
  • Practice servant leadership in keeping with Discount Tire values and traditions

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related major. Masters or MBA highly preferred
  • CISSP, CISM, or GSEC certification preferred
