We are a integrative health care system that has a robust post-acute continuum of care that sets us apart from the competition.As a Banner Home Care Insurance Representative, you will work in a high volume environment with a centralized insurance verification team. You will handle front-end insurance eligibility, benefits and authorizations for home health referrals. We are centralized to handle referrals from Phoenix area, Payson, Tucson, Loveland CO and Greeley CO. This position is REMOTE scheduled Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm MST.Ranked in the top 25 percent of all home care agencies in the United States, Banner Home Care is the largest nonprofit, free-standing home care agency in Arizona. Inpatient Home care is also available for respite care and symptom management. The Banner Hospice Team can provide comfort to the patient and family by alleviating symptoms, by providing meaningful help and by creating an environment to develop lasting final memories.POSITION SUMMARYThis position performs non-clinical functions related to Initial Eligibility, Prior Authorization and Subsequent Authorization requests and notifications.CORE FUNCTIONS

Reviews all requests for authorization for eligibility, expiration date, accuracy and completeness.

Data enters all member information in documentation data base. Uses approved notification templates to meet regulatory requirements.

Enters all approvals, extensions, downgrades, denials/partial denials/service reductions into the computer systems.

Performs other related duties, consistent with the goals and qualifications of this position.

Works cooperatively with both internal and external customers in assisting members and providers with referral related issues.

Performs other related duties as assigned, which are consistent with the goals and qualifications of this position.

This position performs all related duties in a manner that is consistent with and in support of the organization's mission, vision, values and goals.

This position works under supervision, prioritizing data from multiple sources to provide quality care and support. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with staff at all levels throughout the organization.
