Job Description
The Project Manager will manage and coordinate most capital improvement and/or departmentoperational projects from establishment of project scope and objectives, design phase throughconstruction and warranty period. This process may include but is not limited to project research;document drafting and preparation; plans, specification, and bid document preparation; bidcoordination and review; project updates; construction administration; and other related tasks asassigned. The IT Project Manager will have strong knowledge of project management methodologies andapproaches in the public or private sector specific to technology-based projects and have theability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Our ideal candidate will possess previousexperience leading technology projects, and leading diverse project teams, virtual teams and IT resources from other city departments. The ideal candidate must be well organized, must havestrong communication skills to all levels, including executive leadership, and be confident andcomfortable with engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally,the candidate must show a supportive attitude toward change, a willingness to develop new ideasto achieve results, and a desire to be an active change agent in the organization. The ProjectManager will be expected to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, lead multipleproject teams, and ensure proper communication across all projects. #LI-DNP
