Description:Our client is a Fortune 500 company. They are a global metals recycling, manufacturing, fabricating, and trading steel company.They will begin hiring for their new steel mill that will open up at the end of 2022. This will lead to 180 job openings throughout this year.Openings between Shearline Operator, Material Handler, and Shipping and Receiving. Candidates should be flexible to all three positions as they will decide which one of the three departments they will start out in.Shearline Operator:Individual will operate mobile lifting equipment and stand in at various positions when needed.
Main focus will be to move finished product from the shear line and bundle the sheared post.
Assist and remove sheared post from the grapestake line
Bundle the finished posts
transport and stack the bundles
record production and turn it into the inventory coordinator
Assist with loading of trucks for grapestake shipments
Shipping & Receiving:Remove finished product from the bundler table, transfer, and inventory the product
Load trucks with finished products in accordance with customers' requirements
Transport and stack the bundles
Print tags
Tag bundles using tagging gun
Enter bundle inventory in the SAP system
Scan the tags on trucks for the completion of shipping documents
Material Handler Responsibilities:Supply materials needed by the liquid and forming process areas during shift
communicate with crane operators to move supplies as needed
unload incoming truckloads of materials and stack them safely in the warehouse
inspect mobile equipment and fill out inspection report each shift
