Landscape Tree Driver and Groundman

Landscape Tree Groundman to perform general maintenance of trees on commercial and residential properties, including removing and cutting up limbs from the ground, using commercial chipper, using a blower, and cleaning up tree debris. We are looking for team players with a strong safety focus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a valid Arizona’s driver’s license with a clean MVD record. Must be able to E verify and drug test.

Job Skills and Responsibilities:

Remove trees per industry standards using approved arborist equipment.

Load and unload trucks daily with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a woodchipper. Use of power equipment, chainsaws, chippers, blowers, etc.

Must have experience in tree care operations and techniques.

Must be able to read, write and comprehend job instructions and information.

Must know how to operate, maintain and service all tree care required equipment.

Must be available to work during the following when necessary: Weekends, Emergency Call Outs, Monsoon Storm Season

Knowledge of chainsaw use and safety required

Detail oriented, organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must have high safety standards & Strong work ethic

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

Must be able to wear necessary PPE as per task assigned.

Must be able to walk on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions

Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with customer, police, and fire departments when blocking street or driveways. Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.

Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors

Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers and coworkers

Must be able to work year-round in the Arizona climate.

Reliable and dependable

Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Must be able to follow company safety policies.

Self-Starter, punctual, and dependable.

Completes all tasks within time expectations.
