Engineering Manager within the Global Engineering Services (GES) team. As a Lead Project Engineer you will be responsible for providing OEM Phase 6 Design Class II ECN change authorization, support internal factories and external suppliers as well as engage with OEM customers. Will be required to drive novel, Bigger, Bolder, Faster and Make it Happen engineering projects relating to Producibility to ensure that business objectives are achieved through Product Design improvements. Develop and maintain an OEM Design Class II Phase 6 Project Management Operating System, which will enable tracking progress and setting engineering priorities within GES. Responsible for Phase 6 Class II Product Design strategy within GES, by working and interacting directly with GBE and SBU engineering leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesAuthorize Phase 6 Design Class II changes and disposition.

Product focused and add value by changing the current design to support business objectives

Ensure a disciplined and data driven approach is utilized for technical decisions

Provide Phase 6 Design Class II, ECN, MRB, RMRA product support to OEM GES team globally

Leading and participating in productivity improvements from an engineering perspective & workflow including reviewing engineering change requests prior to submission

Provide technical, business and financial direction for GES OEM engineers

Support GES productivity goals utilizing the Value Creation Process

Operate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Honeywell Operating System (HOS)

Lead, influence and motivate others, provides direction, removes barriers. Participates & Leads high impact teams

YOU MUST HAVEBS in Engineering

10 years engineering experience

5 years of experience working in the Aerospace industry

5 years Gas Turbine Engine/Component in roles of escalating responsibility

5 years driving change management projects

Due to export control laws, must be a US citizen.

WE VALUEMaster’s Degree in engineering, Science or Business

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Six Sigma Green Belt, Design for Six Sigma, Black Belt/MBB or Lean Expert/Lean Master certifications

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to interface with all professional and technical disciplines within a repair environment

Program Management experience

Advanced communications/presentation/ leadership/people skills are essential

Technical/ R&O engineering management skills
