The Lead Instructor serves as senior instructional faculty within the Paramedic Program, providing instructional leadership, course coordination, and faculty support under the direction of the Program Director. This role ensures high-quality delivery of didactic, laboratory, simulation, clinical, and field internship education consistent with the approved curriculum and CAAHEP/CoAEMSP Standards and Guidelines. The Lead Instructor supports instructional consistency, student competency development, faculty mentorship, and continuous quality improvement while operating within delegated authority and without administrative responsibility for the program.Deliver assigned paramedic course content in didactic, laboratory, simulation, clinical, and field internship settings in alignment with the approved curriculum and current standards of emergency medical care.Provide academic support, coaching, and structured remediation to promote student success and competency attainment.Assist the Program Director in coordinating instructional activities across didactic, laboratory, clinical, and field internship components.Ensure consistent implementation of course objectives, lesson plans, evaluation tools, and grading standards across instructional faculty.Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to adjunct and part-time instructors to maintain instructional quality and consistency.Assist with faculty orientation, development, and informal evaluation as delegated by the Program Director.Evaluate student performance in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains using approved assessment methods.Ensure timely, accurate documentation of student performance, competency verification, attendance, and remediation activities.Support compliance with CAAHEP and CoAEMSP Standards and Guidelines related to instruction, student evaluation, and faculty oversight.Participate in curriculum review, outcomes assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Serve as a subject matter resource for designated content areas and assist in maintaining instructional best practices.Perform responsibilities as delegated by the Program Director without assuming administrative authority or ultimate responsibility for program accreditation.
